ENT and Head – Neck Surgery Specialist

I completed my medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1988. I received my specialization training at Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Otorhinolaryngology. During my specialization training, in order to increase my knowledge and experience, I spent different periods of time at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, and participated in clinical studies.

After receiving my specialization in 1994, I worked for eight months at Kütahya State Hospital, and then in December 1994, I was appointed as an assistant professor at Süleyman Demirel University, Department of Otorhinolaryngology. I conducted studies on head and neck cancers for six months at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Otorhinolaryngology.

In 1997, I received the title of associate professor. In 1998, I worked as an observer and researcher in ear surgery under the supervision of Prof. Dr. P. Van den Broek at the Katholieke Universiteit Nijmegen, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, in the Netherlands. In 2003, I received the title of professor at Süleyman Demirel University, Department of Otorhinolaryngology.

In 2005, I was appointed as the founding chief of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the Ministry of Health Bursa Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital. I served as the clinical chief in the same clinic until 2011. During the period in which I served as a faculty member and clinical chief at the university, in addition to providing health services to my patients, I took part in the education and training of many residents and students. Later, between 2011 and 2022, I worked first in Bursa and then at Bahçelievler Medicalpark Hospital, Ethica İncirli, and Şişli Kolan International Hospital.

Since April 2022, I have been seeing my patients in my private practice at Teşvikiye Neighborhood, Hakkı Yeten Street No. 13, Terrace Fulya Center 2, Floor 11, Apt. 65-66, Fulya, ŞİŞLİ, ISTANBUL, and performing my surgeries at private hospitals.

My professional areas of interest include: regarding the nose—rhinoplasty and endoscopic sinus surgery; regarding the ear—tympanoplasty and facial nerve surgery; regarding head and neck surgery—tumor surgery of the head and neck region, flaps, and partial laryngectomy.

The professional associations I am a member of are the Facial Plastic Surgery Association, the Turkish Society of ENT and Head and Neck Surgery, the Turkish Rhinology Society, the Otolaryngic Allergy Association, and the Istanbul Medical Chamber. As non-medical interests, I am interested in Sociology, Recent History, and World Geography. In the field of music, I took ney performance lessons and I am interested in Turkish classical music.
